Samsung Wallet USDC transfers are planned for the last week of October for eligible Galaxy users in the United States. Samsung says users will be able to send USDC to compatible wallets and send funds to qualifying bank accounts abroad. Those routes have different fees and delivery conditions. The Samsung Mobile Press page is dated October 8, 2026; the release carries an October 7 dateline.

Two transfer routes

For transfers to external wallets, Samsung says it will charge no USDC transfer fee. Its footnotes add that the recipient’s wallet provider or exchange may charge its own fees and that speed depends on blockchain conditions. A destination must support USDC on a network supported by Samsung Wallet.

The bank-account route supports eligible accounts in more than 60 countries, according to Samsung. Fees vary with destination and amount. The app will show those fees and an estimated delivery time before the sender confirms a transfer; recipient banks and account types can have separate eligibility limits. A wallet transfer and a bank payout should therefore not be treated as the same service.

Eligibility and custody

The launch is limited to eligible U.S. residents aged 18 or older who have a Samsung Account and a compatible Galaxy device running Android 13 or later. Registration, identity verification and biometric authentication setup are required. The supported-country list for bank transfers will appear in the app.

Samsung names Bastion as the stablecoin-account and money-movement provider, with Coinbase providing sub-custody through Coinbase Prime Vault. Samsung’s footnote says it does not hold customer funds and is not itself the bank, money transmitter or digital-asset custodian. These are company-disclosed arrangements, not an independent assessment of the service.

What remains a plan

The announced rollout is for late October; it is not confirmation that users can transfer today. Samsung also discusses possible future in-store and online stablecoin payments and expansion to other markets. It gives no launch date for those capabilities.
